Single vellum leaf, written on both sides. Size: 13 x 9 ¼ in (33.2 x 23.5 cm). The flesh side is recto. Outside edges, esp. bottom corner appear somewhat worn and used. Lines and margins marked with a stylus (scratched into the flesh side of the leaf). Contains three doodling designs with a thin sharp object on the recto side, right margin in between the two bottom stylus lines.
Late, elegant neo-Carolingian script. Both sides have 22 lines of text. The darker ink now appears in a shade of brown (apparently a sign of oxidation). On the recto side the new section of text is marked by a red initial, outlined in blue and with a blue ornamental tail, and by a red rubrication. The text of the rubrication is "Fr'. vi. Scđm | matheum." This text appears in a similar hand but written with a slightly finer pen.
Marked in pencil with the arabic numeral 10 once in upper right corner and once in bottom right corner. Both markings are apparently made by different people, the bottom numbers appearing to be older.
