The script is a medium grade Gothic textualis with many rounded forms. There is script in two sizes. The ink has browned and faded considerably. The text is a part of the Tridentine Latin Mass, beginning with the Epistle reading for the 4th Sunday after Easter on the recto side and continuing with the mass for the 5th Sunday after Easter. Text in two columns of 30 lines each, lineated with stylus.
Recto is the flesh side of the leaf. The leaf is somewhat thin, shows browning around all outer edges and signs of thumbing at the outer bottom corner as well as the middle of the right margin. Verso bottom left hand corner seems to have had some lettering in a modern pencil hand which may have been erased with a pencil eraser. The text is organized in sections separated by alternating red and blue capitals, decorated with penwork in the opposite color. A larger illuminated capital on the verso side (va13-15), decorated in brown, green, yellow, pink, red and blue and a floral depiction. Each sentence capital somewhat oversized and decorated in a pale yellow ink.
