Commentary written in two columns of 65 lines each, in very small early Gothic high-grade textualis, psalm verses in double sized high-grade textura. Sections marked by alternating red and blue initials, both in psalm text and commentary.
The recto is the hair side of the parchment. The lower left-hand corner (recto) is missing a triangular shaped piece of parchment about 3.5 x 1 in (9 x 2.5 cm), though it is not possible to tell whether or not this was the original shape of the leaf. The left margin also has some small pieces of parchment torn off. The lower right-hand corner shows dark wear stains. Diagonally from that corner to the middle of the lower margin a stitched tear is faintly visible. The upper left hand corner has a bright, raised area through which the leaf's original pigmentation and folicles are not visible. This area is also visible on the verso side. In the upper right-hand corner the leaf is foliated in pencil with the arabic numeral 19, possibly in a modern (20th century) US-American hand. There are two waterstains in the a-column of the text, one smaller and one larger. There are three small holes in the right margin, probably original to the leaf.
Along the left margin the pricking is visible. The text is divided into two columns with 65 lines of text each The page is lineated with pencil, with every line marked as well as three lines on the top, the bottom and in the middle of the text, all of which run to the edge of the leaf. In addition, three lines run down the middle of the text to mark the end of column a, the beginning of column b and a divider line between them. Also, left of the left text margin and to the right of the right text margin are two additional lines each, the closer ones for measuring the larger capitals and for insertion marks, the further ones red marginal notes which on this leaf are either "ag" or "cas," indicating whether the commentary in the main text derives from Augustine or Cassian (or Cassiodorus?). All these vertical lines run to the edge of the leaf. On the verso side, small black letters "a" or "c" are found in the extreme right margin, in places corresponding to the marginal notes for Augustine and Cassian, and once "d" (line 31).
Single psalm verses are written in double sized letters in the left half of each column with the commentary written around these verses (or parts of verses). New verses are indicated by alternating red and blue larger capitals. The commentary also indicates new sections (corresponding to new verses) with alternating red and blue capitals, the converse of the colors of the capitals of the large psalm verses.
