Intellectual and Cultural Leaders of Minnesota

During 2013-14, the Institute for Advanced Study sponsored an oral history project focusing on writers, visual artists, scholars, and other cultural leaders in Minnesota. Bat of Minerva director Peter Shea carried out a series of interviews with individuals who had been interviewed during the 1988-2002 Northern Lights and Insights Project (archived at the Minnesota Historical Society and in regional libraries), as well as other cultural leaders in the state. This project has been made possible by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the vote of Minnesotans on November 4, 2008, administered by the Minnesota Historical Society.
