The opinions of Bruce Laingen, the highest ranking former American hostage in Iran. Laingen was Charge d'affair at the American Embassy before it was seized by Iranian militants in November of 1979. He gave the third annual Charles McLaughlin Lecture here at the University of Minnesota on May 18th.
