The Maroon Loon was a University of Minnesota Duluth hockey mascot and entertainer from 1981 to 2006. The Bulldog mascot was named "Killer" in the 1990s, until a name change to "Champ" occurred in 1997.

This version of the Bulldog mascot's costume comes from the 1960s or possibly early 1970s. The mascot was named "Semper Victoris," nicknamed "Vicky," at this time.
