Pencil drawing of a view of distant Hiva Oa, an island in the Marquesas (French Polynesia), from the southeast, and a sky full of large clouds. Dates to 1934, drawn during the 1934-1935 Templeton Crocker expedition to the South Pacific in preparation for taxidermy dioramas at the American Museum of Natural History.
