St. Aloisius society, organized in 1895, was the first Slovenian fraternal benefit society organized in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Affiliated with American Fraternal Union of Ely, Minnesota as lodge No. 18.

Thayer states that he purchased part of the land belonging to Rufus Carver as heir and administrator to the Estate of Jonathan Carver, lying on the Mississippi River; and states that a Mr. Mason pretends to have a false deed from the same Rufus Carver.

Vang Thao was born in Vang Vieng, Laos and moved to Vientiane, Laos in 1979. In 1993, Vang and his family went to Wat Tham Krabok refugee camp in Saraburi, Thailand, where several of his children were born. The family came to the United States in 2004.

Sengchan Thao was born in Laos. She met her husband, a Hmong American from Minnesota, when he was visiting Laos. They got engaged and she came to the United States in 2007 to marry him.
