This silent, 16mm black-and-white film is part of a group of home movies that were previously in the possession of and most likely filmed by Guilford Hartley. Katri and Kusti Saari sit with baby Vieno Katri at Ely Lake, Minnesota, in 1919. Aukusti (Gusti) Saari was born in Finland, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1912. He worked for the Oliver Mining Company near Virginia, Minnesota, until 1921. Katri Laakkonen married Aukusti Saari in 1917 in Chisholm, Minnesota, and Vieno was born in 1918.
