The adult in the photograph may be Ed Gates. "10049" is written on the photograph over one of the logs on the sled along with three X's on two of the logs. The names of different people appear to be written on the logs in the photograph. The names are as follows: E. Gates, B. Lufkin, S. Gray, and C.O. Malley.
