This branch, established in the 19th century to serve railway men passing through New York City, had numerous locations over the years around Grand Central Station. Established with the sponsorship of Cornelius Vanderbilt of the New York Central Railroad, the branch continues exist in the area and is now called Vanderbilt branch.
